This high-tech device gave the viewers the freedom to watch their favorite TV series, movies, sports, and other events telecast on satellite TV Internet during their free time, without interrupting their daily routine! In other words, it gave the viewers the luxury to shift time! With the availability of the DVR, viewers do not have to rush home at a particular time to watch their favorite TV show. They can record the shows of their choice on the DVR even when they are not at home! In addition they can also record and watch the same TV show or two different TV shows at the same time; whatever suits them! Other interesting features of the DVR are that it lets viewers skip commercials, rewind shows, and pause live TV to attend the door bell or complete some other task that needs their immediate attention. Having taken care of the viewers’ need for “time shifting,” the electronic companies shifted their attention to cater to the entertainment needs of the people who are always on the move! This gave birth to the concept of “place shifting,” the technology that would allow viewers to watch TV on their laptops and mobile phones! Well! This dream is now a reality with the availability of small antennas! Traveling in no more a boring affair as viewers can access satellite TV Internet in their automobiles and on mobiles!
